yordan gyurchev : headfirst

Headfirst years and the games that were never to be...

Yordan joined Headfirst Productions in late 2001. At that time development of "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" was under way. He worked on that team for the best part of his first year.

In the authumn of 2002 Yordan started work as lead programmer on Headfirst's new PS2 based technolgy for third person action adventure games. Deadlands, another table top game Headfirst had license to make a video game for, was to be the first of these games.

In the next four years Yordan's team developed PS2 3rd person game technolgy that saw many demos (for numerous projects) made and ultimately landed a contract but due to publisher financial trouble Headfrist Productions went into administration.

At Headfirst Yordan was responsible for overseeing, steering and hands on development of the PS2 technolgoy.
